The Super Bowl-bound New York Giants share a moment while practicing Wednesday afternoon in UIndy’s Athletics & Recreation Center.

The New York Giants held their first pre-Super Bowl practice at the University of Indianapolis on Wednesday, and Head Coach Tom Coughlin has been saying nice things about UIndy and its Athletics & Recreation Center ever since.

“This is an outstanding facility, absolutely outstanding,” he told Sports Illustrated writer Peter King, the official print pool reporter stationed at the ARC. ”It’s going to be great for our players to be able to work out in here all week.”

Coughlin offered more UIndy shout-outs at today’s media briefing downtown, saying: “I thought I would recognize the University of Indianapolis and the fine folks that work there for their hospitality and their preparation,” he said. “The people there have been outstanding, the hospitality has been great, the facility there is an outstanding facility to practice in. Our players have adjusted very well to the routine, getting there, the locker room facility. In fact, the weight room was heavily used by our players following practice yesterday, so just an acknowledgement to those fine people of the outstanding job they’ve done in preparation for us here, in order that our practices might be good ones.”
