MBA alumnus named top healthcare CIO

UIndy alumnus Rick Schooler has been named the U.S. healthcare industry’s CIO of the Year by the College of Healthcare Information Management Executives and the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society.

Schooler, who earned his MBA from UIndy in 1989, is vice president and chief information officer for Orlando Health, which operates several hospitals and cancer centers in central Florida. The award recognizes lifetime contributions and innovative leadership in the use of health-related information technology.
