Dance event raises $6,000+ for Riley hospital
The UIndy for Riley student organization raised more than $6,000 for Riley Hospital for Children on Saturday during its annual Dance Marathon, a new record and about twice the take from last year’s event.
Currently led by co-presidents Aubrey Strati and Julie Votaw, UIndy for Riley supports the hospital throughout the year, with the dance event serving as its main fundraiser.
Greyhound student-athletes also volunteered their time, dancing and playing games with young Riley patients throughout the six-hour event. Participating teams included softball, volleyball, football, men’s soccer, men’s and women’s golf and men’s and women’s tennis. Read more and see photos at the Athletics website.
