Monday night’s gala opening of the UIndy Faculty Artist Concert Series earned a rave four-star review from NUVO weekly.

Writer Chantal Incandela offered particular praise for artist-in-residence Raymond Leppard, the conductor, as well as faculty soloists Pamela French, oboe, and Austin Hartman, violin.

“If this concert is an indication of the rest of the season, then it looks to be an excellent one,” she wrote.

The series continues through April with 17 more free Monday night classical and jazz concerts. Click here for the full schedule.
