Open house offers info on health care degrees

physical therapy [1]Prospective students interested in health care degrees and careers can learn about opportunities during an open house Saturday at the new UIndy Health Pavilion.

From 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday, faculty, staff and current students from UIndy’s nationally respected College of Health Sciences [2] will provide information and answer questions about the full range of undergraduate and graduate degree offerings in Physical Therapy [3], Occupational Therapy [4]Public Health [5]Athletic Training [6] and Kinesiology [7].

These programs, which prepare students for a wide variety of health and sports-related professions, are characterized by rigorous academics, research, applied learning in clinical settings and highly competitive internships. Preregistration is required to attend the open house and may be completed here [8].

The new four-story Health Pavilion, which opened in August at Hanna and State avenues, houses the College of Health Sciences as well as the School of Nursing [9], the School of Psychological Sciences [10], the Department of Social Work [11] and the Center for Aging & Community [12].
