11th Hound Hustle 5K Run & Fun Walk

The Hound Hustle 5K Run/Walk is an annual UIndy Homecoming tradition that brings participants from all over the community. All are welcome to participate — show your UIndy pride by registering to run or cheer on your friends!

The 11th annual Hound Hustle 5K run/walk is on Saturday, October 7, on UIndy’s campus. Participants will also receive a 2023 Hound Hustle T-shirt!

Registration Information

Advanced Registration: $0 for students, $10 for Faculty & Staff, $20 for Alumni, and $30 for individuals. The race fee includes a timing chip, snacks after the race, and a Hound Hustle T-shirt. Advanced registration closes on Monday, October 2, at Noon.

Same-Day Registration: $30 on the day of the event (cash only). That fee includes a T-shirt if quantities are still available.

Note: The registration fee is non-refundable; the event will occur rain or shine.

• Anyone is welcome to participate; you do not have to be affiliated with UIndy.
• Strollers are welcome; please start in the back for everyone’s safety.
• One-hour course limit (18 minute/mile pace).
• No dogs allowed

About the Event

The race takes participants on a tour of the beautiful UIndy campus and the University Heights neighborhood. The non-certified course is fast, flat and scenic and highlights our buildings and athletic facilities, including the Athletics & Recreation Center, Roberts Hall, and the UIndy Health Pavilion. The event begins and ends at the Schwitzer Student Center on the UIndy campus. Post-race refreshments will be served outside (weather permitting) or inside the Schwitzer Student Center atrium.
