In the piece, arts editor Scott Shoger talks with Tharp about her Hoosier childhood, her career and her pending 50th anniversary tour. Read the interview here.

Elsewhere, the Indianapolis Star has listed Tharp’s UIndy appearance among its “20 most fascinating people visiting Indiana this spring” and its “20 best things to do in Indy in March.”

Some tickets still remain for the lecture, which is presented by UIndy’s Sutphin Lecture Series and begins at 7 p.m. March 18 in the Christel DeHaan Fine Arts Center’s Ruth Lilly Performance Hall. Tickets are $10, available through UIndy’s Event Ticketing Center, www.uindy.edu/etc. Seating is general admission, and doors will open at 6 p.m.
