FOX59: University of Indianapolis professor wins Indiana Authors Award

Professor Rebecca McKanna was interviewed on Fox 59

An associate professor of English at the University of Indianapolis is now an Indiana Authors Award winner.

According to the Indiana Authors Award website, Rebecca McKanna recently won the genre award for her debut novel “Don’t Forget the Girl.” McKanna’s novel was also featured on the shortlist of the Indiana Author Award’s 2024 debut award.

According to the Indiana Authors Award website, “Don’t Forget the Girl” follows the aftermath of the killing of a University of Iowa freshman and its impact on the victim’s friends, as well as the suspected serial killer. [continue reading]
