John Lennon Educational Tour Bus to visit the University of Indianapolis

John Lennon Educational Tour Bus interior

An encounter with the creative legacy of the late John Lennon will be available to Central Indiana residents when the John Lennon Educational Tour Bus visits the University of Indianapolis. The bus will be open for free public tours and demonstrations of recording studio techniques and technology from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Wednesday, May 7, outside the Schwitzer Student Center.

No reservations or tickets are needed.

The John Lennon Educational Tour Bus project focuses on inspiring creativity and artistic expression. The event is co-hosted by UIndy’s Music Technology and Recording program and the Public Relations master’s program.

The bus, which tours throughout the United States, was developed by Yoko Ono Lennon and the executive director of the project Brian Rothschild. The bus debuted in 1998. There also is a European version of the tour bus. The new bus visiting UIndy has been revamped to include the latest technology.

Onboard the bus, visitors will experience demonstrations of state-of-the-art music and video production technology, with some possibilities for hands-on experiences.

Free parking is available near the bus and the student center at the intersection of East Hanna Avenue and Campus Drive.
