University of Indianapolis to celebrate 118th commencement May 2

Commencement 2025 Graduation

The University of Indianapolis is proud to announce more than 1,200 people are prepared to graduate this weekend. Future physical therapists, business leaders, social workers and more will be walking across the stage to get their diploma in one of three spring commencement ceremonies on Saturday, May 2. In addition, after more than six years as serving as UIndy’s live mascot, Grady will walk across the stage with handler Coran Sigman as he ‘graduates’ to mascot emeritus status and retirement.

This is the University’s 118th graduation ceremony. There are more than 40,000 Greyhound graduates, with more than 25,000 located in Indiana.

The media is welcome to attend. The ceremony for the College of Health Sciences and the School of Business is at 10 a.m. The ceremony for all master’s and doctoral degree programs is at 2 p.m. The ceremony for all undergraduates in the Shaheen College of Arts and Sciences as well as the College of Education and Behavioral Sciences is at 6 p.m. All ceremonies will be held inside Nicoson Hall on UIndy’s campus.

University of Indianapolis President Tanuja Singh will charge the graduates at each ceremony. Other remarks will be provided by one of the graduating students, the Board of Trustees, as well as a member of the UIndy Alumni Association.

The University will have a videographer in attendance on Saturday and is happy to share video from the ceremony in the afternoon. There is an Alumni Celebration at the Schwitzer Student Center after each graduation ceremony.
