Two UIndy Graduates Complete Prestigious Orr Fellowship
Two University of Indianapolis graduates completed the prestigious Orr Fellowship, a highly competitive two-year early-career development program.
Mateo Cedano ’24 (Information Systems & Applied Business Analytics) and Dan Sullivan ’23 ’24 (Business Administration, MBA) were among 46 members of the latest class to complete the program. Orr Fellowship recruits, assesses and matches high-achieving university graduates with roles at growing Indiana businesses. Both Cedano and Sullivan worked with The Heritage Group. In addition, Cedano was voted by his peers in the 2024 class to receive the Fellowship’s Continued Learning Award, which recognizes a Fellow who is a lifelong learner who strives to gain new knowledge as a leader and professional. The award is based on one of the four core pillars of Orr Fellowship: Career, Community, Commitment and Continued Learning.

“We are proud to celebrate the graduating class of Orr Fellows who represent the next generation of leaders across Indiana’s business and civic landscape,” said Steven Emch, president of Orr Fellowship. “Over the course of the program, we are inspired by the caliber of the talent and commitment these young professionals bring to our partner companies. We congratulate them on this milestone and look forward to the continued contributions they will make to businesses and communities they work and live in across the state.”
Cedano, Sullivan and the other Fellows began their two-year fellowships in May 2024. By completing the program, they join a network of nearly 700 alumni from universities across the U.S. One in four members of the Orr Fellowship class of 2024 hails from outside the Hoosier state—bringing top talent and future leaders to Indiana. In total, the class represents 10 states, underscoring the program’s growing national reach and appeal.
