WTHR: Perry Township Schools announces career-connected learning program for high schoolers based at UIndy
A $30 million partnership between Perry Township Schools and the University of Indianapolis is creating Indiana’s first university campus-based career-connected learning program for high school students. WTHR highlighted the new Innovation and Entrepreneurship Program, which will temporarily open in Martin Hall at UIndy before moving into a permanent 52,150-square-foot facility expected to be completed for the 2028-29 school year. The program will bring Perry Meridian and Southport High School students to campus for immersive, real-world learning with certified teachers, business leaders, industry professionals and entrepreneurs. University of Indianapolis President Tanuja Singh said the partnership reflects how higher education can help students explore new ideas, engage with a university community and discover future possibilities. The coverage highlights how UIndy’s leadership in experiential education, workforce development and community partnership supports broader efforts to expand college and career pathways for students across Central Indiana.
