Technology upgrades in UIndy Hall

The technology in UIndy Halls has been upgraded! The new system, done in collaboration with Event Services and as a capital budget expenditure, features:

  • HDMI connections with Mini DisplayPort adapters

  • Four 75” flat panel monitors to increase display capabilities across the room

  • New digital, laser projectors that provide a crisper image

  • Projector and sound systems now have the capability to respond based on the room wall configuration

  • Easy-to-operate digital control panels

  • Wireless Interactive Presentation Systems (WiPS) to allow wireless presentation for those with a UIndy account (device must be on the UIndy network to use this feature)

UIndyIT has also been busy installing additional WiPS in classrooms and meeting spaces. New locations include:

  • Esch Hall: 038, 040, 250, 251, 252, 253, 254

Documentation for installing the WiPS App on your device and using the system is located on the Tech Page of My UIndy under the Classroom Technology button.

UIndyIT will be installing more WiPS soon and will publish those locations as they are completed.
