Open house offers info on health care degrees
Prospective students interested in health care degrees and careers can learn about opportunities during an open house Saturday at the new UIndy Health Pavilion.
From 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday, faculty, staff and current students from UIndy’s nationally respected College of Health Sciences will provide information and answer questions about the full range of undergraduate and graduate degree offerings in Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Public Health, Athletic Training and Kinesiology.
These programs, which prepare students for a wide variety of health and sports-related professions, are characterized by rigorous academics, research, applied learning in clinical settings and highly competitive internships. Preregistration is required to attend the open house and may be completed here.
The new four-story Health Pavilion, which opened in August at Hanna and State avenues, houses the College of Health Sciences as well as the School of Nursing, the School of Psychological Sciences, the Department of Social Work and the Center for Aging & Community.
