University of Indianapolis Expands Mental Health Support for Students with TimelyCare
Students at the University of Indianapolis will now have expanded access to 24/7 mental health care thanks to a new partnership with TimelyCare, the most trusted virtual health and well-being provider in higher education.
Through TimelyCare, University of Indianapolis students can select from a wide-ranging menu of virtual care options from licensed counselors in all 50 states, at no cost and without the barrier of traditional insurance, including:
- On-demand mental health and emotional support (TalkNow)
- Care navigation
- Peer support community
- Digital self-care content
- Faculty and staff consultations on supporting students in distress
“We are beyond excited to bring this additional mental health resource to our campus,” said Dr. Kelly Miller, director of the UIndy Student Counseling Center. “Developing our campus partnership with TimelyCare services has been a major initiative in our efforts to expand mental health services across campus and will enable students to receive support 365 days a year, regardless of whether they are on campus or in another state. This is especially valuable for students when they are on semester or summer breaks, traveling out of the state, or are in our online programs from anywhere in the country. The University and Student Counseling Center are dedicated to prioritizing the mental health and wellness of all of our students, and this partnership with TimelyCare is a testament to the shared commitment we have to equipping students for success here at UIndy anytime, anywhere, and for life.”
“TimelyCare is honored to partner with the University of Indianapolis’s incredible team to address the growing need for accessible, high-quality mental health support,” said Luke Hejl, CEO and co-founder of TimelyCare. “By combining our team-based approach with the expertise of campus professionals, we can provide the unique care that campus communities need to thrive– academically, emotionally, and personally. Together, we are creating a brighter, healthier future for students and educators, while fostering environments where well-being is a foundation for success.”
These new resources will be offered in addition to UIndy’s existing student support services, including the Student Counseling Center, which provides confidential mental and emotional health support and customized treatment plans at no additional cost to UIndy students. Services include:
- Single session treatments
- Groups and workshops
- Partner counseling
- Crisis/triage appointments
- Outreach and prevention programs
UIndy students can begin early registration for TimelyCare services on Monday, August 18, and can start using TimelyCare services when classes begin on Monday, August 25.
