Faculty give presentations at Indiana Interprofessional Practice and Education Conference Collaborative
Four faculty from disciplines in the UIndy College of Health Sciences were among the presenters at the Indiana Interprofessional Practice and Education Conference Collaborative on November 15, 2017. The daylong event brought professionals from multiple disciplines to share and present efforts in interprofessional practice and education.
Steve Wiley, PT, PhD, from the Krannert School of Physical Therapy (KSPT), and Jennifer Carmack, RN, MSN, from the School of Nursing, gave an oral presentation titled “Interprofessional Collaboration: Translating Experiences with Nursing and Physical Therapy Students from the Academic Setting to the Clinical Setting.”
Frank Bates, PT, DPT, MBA, also from KSPT, teamed up with Erin Peterson, DHSc, OTR, from the School of Occupational Therapy, to present a poster on “Reflections on Planned Interprofessional Education Sessions for Doctor of Physical Therapy and Doctor of Occupational Therapy Students.”
