Wear “Red for Education” March 7 at UIndy
The School of Education invites students, faculty and staff to show support for public school teachers by wearing red on March 7, 2019, as part of “Red for Education” Day. The campus is invited to an event hosted by the School of Education from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in UIndy Hall C to learn more about hot topics in public education. This is a drop-in event featuring discussions and info sessions. Feel free to stop by as your schedule allows.
The midday event will address common misperceptions about teaching, such as:
- A career in teaching is less satisfying than pursuing a career in other industries.
- Graduating with a degree to teach will result in lifelong college debt.
- It is difficult to find a job in teaching.
RSVP to attend and make plans to bring a friend!
