Kinesiology student receives PE educators scholarship
Taylor Drury ’21, a health and physical education major in the Department of Kinesiology, is one of six students statewide to receive a scholarship from the Indiana Society for Health and Physical Educators.
The Jean Lee/Jeff Marvin scholarship, valued at $1,000, is offered in recognition of participation in collegiate activities, professional competencies, potential as a professional, grade point average, financial need, and personal recommendations.
Drury, who is from Pekin, Indiana, said, “After graduating, I plan to move back home to teach Health and PE at a local school in that area. I would love to teach elementary age students, but I am open to other positions as well. I would also like to pursue a coaching career in Girl’s High School Basketball in the Southern Indiana region.”
