Kathy Martin to receive award for extraordinary service

Next month when the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) gathers for its annual Combined Sections Meeting, UIndy physical therapy professor Dr. Kathy Martin will be honored for her service to the profession.

Martin will receive the G.E. “Bud” Haven Service Award, which honors a member of APTA’s Academy of Pediatric Physical Therapy for sustained and extraordinary service to the Academy.

Martin has held several leadership positions in the Academy and was involved with a task force to develop recommendations for teaching pediatric physical therapy in Doctor of Physical Therapy programs.
