Nick Soltis and Casey Crawford present at annual Geological Society of America meeting
Nick Soltis, assistant professor of Earth-Space Science, and Casey Crawford, major in Earth-Space Science and Chemistry, will be attending and presenting at the annual meeting of the Geological Society of America in Portland, Oregon.
Dr. Soltis will present a talk on his research, “Applying Classical Test Theory and Item Response Theory In the Validation of the Earth Systems Thinking Concept Inventory.”
Casey Crawford will present a poster on work he did with Dr. Soltis as part of UIndy’s Summer Research Institute, “Determining the validity of MP-AES in quantitative analysis of Ordovician Brachiopods,” as well as a second poster from research he did over the summer with a team at the University of Utah.
