Alumni and friends are invited back to campus for the best week of the year! Relive your favorite UIndy memories and create some new ones at Homecoming 2022.
Homecoming is a special time of year for the entire University community, with traditions like the Block Party, the President’s Lunch and football game. This year, Homecoming Weekend will also mark the dedication of several campus landmarks, including the University Chapel and the newly renovated Dr. Sue Willey Court in the Ruth Lilly Fitness Center.

Friday, September 30
University Chapel Dedication
2 p.m. at the University Chapel
The University has expanded its close relationship with the University Heights United Methodist Church, updating the building for expanded student use while the congregation continues to meet and further their ministry. Join us as we dedicate the new renovations to the Church made possible by this long-standing partnership. Register to attend here.
Dr. Sue Willey Court Dedication
4 p.m. at the Ruth Lilly Fitness Center
The University is excited to honor the legacy of Dr. Sue Willey’s 45 years of service to the University by naming the court in the most active athletic building on campus. The Ruth Lilly Fitness Center is the nucleus for Greyhound Athletics, and UIndy updated the court for optimum performance and safety. In doing so, the new floor will be dedicated to Dr. Sue Willey. Phylis Lan Lin Social Work Department 25th Anniversary
6 p.m. on the first floor of the Health Pavilion
All social work alumni are invited back to campus to celebrate the 25th Anniversary of the Phylis Lan Lin Department of Social Work. Join us as we honor this important milestone of our accreditation while reconnecting with former classmates to share all the amazing ways our alumni, faculty, and students serve our community. The 10th annual Hound Hustle 5K Run/Walk
Race begins at 9 a.m. in front of Schwitzer Student Center
Start your Homecoming day with a fun run/walk through campus and the local neighborhood. registration will support scholarships for UIndy students. Every participant will also receive a 2022 Hound Hustle T-shirt featuring Grady the Greyhound! Register here.
President’s Lunch
12 p.m. on Good Hall Lawn
Join us for the annual President’s Lunch, where we will honor the presidency of Dr. Rob Manuel, hosted by Interim President Phil Terry. Dr. Robert Manuel served as the 9th president of the University of Indianapolis for ten years. Earlier this year, he was named the president of DePaul University in Chicago. Join us to help thank him for his decade of service as a Greyhound. Register to attend here.
Tailgate Town
4 p.m. in the Nicoson Parking Lot
Join the Krannert School of Physical Therapy for a fun tailgate party in Tailgate Town! All are invited to enjoy the festivities at the biggest tailgate of the year – grab a spin art T-shirt from the Department of Art & Design, enjoy music, and more as you gear up for the big game! Block Party
4 p.m. in front of the South Residence Halls (Warren, Roberts and Cravens)
Don’t miss the fun at the annual Homecoming Block Party! Come hungry for a variety of food trucks, entertainment and so much more.
Football Game: UIndy vs. Southwest Baptist Bearcats
6 p.m. at Key Stadium
Don your favorite crimson and grey gear and help cheer the Greyhounds to victory over the Southwest Baptist University Bearcats. Purchase tickets here (students, faculty and staff get in for free with UIndy ID). To provide a safer environment for the public and to expedite fan entry into Key Stadium, UIndy is also implementing a clear bag policy to limit the style and size of bags that may be brought into the stadium.
