With redistricting drawing renewed attention nationwide, University of Indianapolis Associate Professor of Political Science Laura Merrifield Wilson offered her expert perspective in a story on fair maps for Indiana Public Broadcasting. Wilson explained that fair electoral maps reflect coherent communities of interest, avoid unnatural “snake-like” districts and support competitive election outcomes.
