Faculty Artist Concert Series: Grieg– The Formative Copenhagen Years with Gregory Martin and friends

Edvard Grieg’s residency in Copenhagen during the 1860s was a time when he found his voice. Various works from this period highlight the emerging sound of a Norwegian artist bringing the music of his homeland to the international stage. Repertoire includes the piano sonata in E minor, the first violin sonata, and an arrangement of the overture “In Autumn” for piano eight-hands.
