Gregory Martin, piano: Time and Place

This program explores different aspects of musical temporality, as well as how music can portray the unique qualities of a particular place—both in its sense of space and the culture that has grown up within it. Pianist Gregory Martin presents preludes and fugues by Bach and Mendelssohn, Beethoven’s Sonata in A major, Op. 101, and Grieg’s Nineteen Norwegian Folk Tunes, Op. 66.
