Women’s golf takes third-straight GLVC title

The UIndy women’s golf team claimed its third consecutive Great Lakes Valley Conference title this weekend in Waterloo, Ill., a feat achieved only once before in league history.

Senior Jenny Konop, a Biology/Pre-Med major from Green Bay, Wis., was named GLVC Player of the Year for the second-straight season. Coach Brent Nicoson claimed his third-straight Coach of the Year award, an honor he also received at last week’s men’s conference tournament.

Ranked No. 1 in the region, the Greyhounds proceed next to the NCAA Division II Regional, scheduled May 4-6 at Purgatory Golf Club in Noblesville.
