The Reflector and The Reflector Online won a total of 14 awards in the Indiana Collegiate Press Association and Mark of Excellence Society of Professional Journalists Region 5 competitions, both of which were announced in separate ceremonies in Indianapolis on Saturday, April 8.

Among the winners were Kylee Crane, who was named the ICPA Collegiate Journalist of the Year in the state of Indiana.  The Mark of Excellence competition–which is regional and includes the states of Indiana, Illinois, and Kentucky–designates one winner and two finalists for each category, and the winner of each category automatically goes on to the national competition.

The Reflector had seven of its 11 winning entries designated as winners, so those entries will go on to the national competition. In two categories–Feature Writing and Sports Photography–The Reflector swept the category, winning all three awards.
