Audrey Cunningham Forensics 500 Speech & Debate Tournament at UIndy Sept. 23
The University of Indianapolis Department of Communication and the UIndy Speech Team is hosting the Audrey Cunningham Forensics 500 Speech & Debate Tournament on Sept. 23rd, from 7:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Faculty, staff and students are welcome to attend the tournament, which includes traditional public speaking events, oral interpretation events as well parliamentary
debate.
Faculty and staff are also needed to judge this event. You may judge one round or the whole day. While the judging pool includes coaches traveling with their teams, a diverse judging pool helps enhance the students’ learning perspective. Faculty from every discipline are invited to judge – especially those who have never judged this type of event before.
The University of Indianapolis is hosting the tournament in conjunction with Butler University and their tournament on Sept. 24th.
Registration is in Esch Atrium and competition will be primarily in Esch and Good Halls.
Contact Rebekah Watson Gaidis at watsonrg@uindy.edu if you would like to serve as a tournament judge.
