Jim Pennell publishes article in Journal of Wine Research
Jim Pennell, professor in the Department of Sociology, just published “Challenges and Progress in Improving the Quality and Identity of Midwest U.S. Wines,” in the Journal of Wine Research (Vol. 30, Issue 1, Feb. 2019), an interdisciplinary international wine research journal. The article draws on his research of the wine industries in Indiana, Ohio, Illinois and Iowa that he documented in his book Local Vino: The Winery Boom in the Heartland (University of Illinois Press, 2017).
