Kathy Martin invited to speak on the needs of children with disabilities
Kathy Martin, professor in the Krannert School of Physical Therapy, (pictured above right) was an invited speaker at the 10th Annual Conference on Meeting the Therapy Needs of Infants, Toddlers, and Children with Disabilities in the Community. The conference was held at the University of Kentucky earlier this month. Martin, who has expertise in working with children with low muscle tone, presented “Orthotics for Children,” discussing how useful orthotics are for children with a variety of muscle-related disabilities, how the use of orthotics impacts gait, and how orthotics fit into an overall intervention plan.
