Francesca Zappia ’15 publishes new book
Just in time for Halloween season, Francesca “Chessie” Zappia’s new young adult novel, “Now Entering Addamsville,” will be available beginning in October. A release party will be held at the Greenwood Park Mall Barnes & Noble at 7 p.m. on October 1, 2019.
“Now Entering Addamsville” follows the story of Zora Novak, who is is framed for a crime she didn’t commit. Zora must team up with her cousin Artemis—an annoying self-proclaimed Addamsville historian—to clear her name. But with a popular ghost-hunting television show riling up the townspeople, almost no support from her family and friends, and rumors spinning out of control, things aren’t looking good. Zora will have to read between the lines of Addamsville’s ghost stories before she becomes one herself.
Zappia ’15 (computer science), is the author of the young adult novels “Made You Up” and “Eliza and Her Monsters.” She was chosen as the 2017 Emerging Author at the Indiana Authors Awards, and her second novel, “Eliza and Her Monsters,” was chosen as a Kirkus Best Teen Book of 2017, a Junior Library Guild Selection, and was among the Top 10 of the YALSA 2018 Best Fiction for Young Adults list.
