Graduating seniors share how the University of Indianapolis helped them as they prepare to embark on new adventures.
- “UIndy gave me an environment in which I could learn, grow, and graduate with a job already lined up!” - Sara Perkins ’19 (professional writing major, creative writing minor)
- “UIndy has bred my confidence, taught me how to live with and love your neighbor as you love yourself and, most importantly, it has taught me how to use knowledge and education for service. UIndy does not give you a second or third chance. It always gives you the next chance.” - Eric Kabuthia ’19 (M.A., international relations)
- “UIndy has given me a family that has pushed me to be the best version of myself.” - Elizabeth Hoffman ’19 (exercise science and pre-physical therapy major)
- "The professors at UIndy have significantly impacted me and my future. UIndy's music department has so many wonderful professors that gave me advice, led me in a positive direction, and helped me achieve my goals." - Katie Snider '19 (the first UIndy Music Therapy Bachelor of Science graduate)
- “I have met a significant portion of my friend-group from here at UIndy. They keep me going. Another impact has been Thursday night chapel services. They provide a huge amount of stress relief from the craziness that can come from school.” - Drew Rosier ’19 (pre-art therapy)
- "I have met my best friends here at UIndy that I can say will support me for the rest of my life." - Catherine Skaggs '19 (biology, chemistry minor, pre-medicine concentration)
- "UIndy feels like home to me. The faculty and staff have been amazing and supportive. I have been able to meet so many students and new people here on campus being a part of the TV station that UIndy has. It's been an impactful experience!" - Crystal Sicard ’19 (communication major, electronic media and sports information concentration)
- “UIndy has impacted me in so many ways, including meeting lifelong friends who I will never forget. Being a student-athlete here has prepared me for my future as a professional more than I ever could have expected.” - Jacob Schmatz ’19 (business administration major, supply chain management minor)
- My passion for Public Health is policy and advocacy, Dr. Heidi Hancher-Racuh and UIndy have helped me grow that passion and allowed me to partake in many unforgettable experiences. I have traveled to Belize for a service-learning trip, Salt Lake City to present at a conference, and Washington D.C. to advocate on a national platform. All of these experiences were made possible by Dr. Rauch. I am forever grateful for everything she and UIndy have done for me." -Amy Rohr '19 (public health)
A formal commencement ceremony will take place Saturday, December 14 in Ransburg Auditorium. Find additional details at uindy.edu/graduation.
