After two years of collecting the stories and history that make the University of Indianapolis uniquely ours, The UIndy Saga in the 21st Century Project is coming to a close. We invite you to help us celebrate the project at a special reception on Monday, Sept. 11, 2023, from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Christel DeHaan Fine Arts Center Gallery.

The UIndy Saga in the 21st Century Project has provided the space to tell the personal, engaging, and thought-provoking stories of the diverse population of individuals who comprise our collective community. The UIndy Saga Steering Committee has been collecting conversations and artworks about the UIndy experience since early 2022. 

Please join us as we recognize the contributions UIndy faculty, staff, students and alumni made in “Telling the Whole Story” of UIndy in the 21st century. This program will accompany an exhibition of student artworks exploring the UIndy experience, past and present. These works were created over the past two academic years and will be part of the University of Indianapolis permanent art collection and Saga digital archive.

In addition to the artworks, you’ll enjoy written stories and audio recordings at the reception. You can also listen to some of them now via the Hearing YOU-Indy Voices podcast. 

We hope you’ll join us as we celebrate with remarks, refreshments and more during the reception Sept. 11 in the CDFAC Gallery and Lobby.

If you can’t make the reception, you can still enjoy the exhibition! It will be open Tuesday, Sept. 5, through Friday, Sept. 15, during regular gallery hours, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays.
