Faculty Artist Concert Series: Songs You Thought You Knew with Mitzi Westra and Rebecca Edie

Every voice teacher has a long list of songs that are pedagogically useful for teaching concepts, languages, and technique to beginning singers. However, these songs are not only for beginners, but they are lovely pieces outside of their pedagogical aspects. Mezzo soprano Mitzi Westra and pianist Rebecca Edie revisit some of the standard repertoire for beginning singers to bring a new perspective and remind us why these beautiful songs are still being used in teaching today.
