University of Indianapolis and King Jugg Brewing Launch “The Loyal Hound” as the Official Beer of UIndy

The University of Indianapolis and King Jugg Brewing are raising a glass to Greyhound pride with the launch of The Loyal Hound as the official beer of UIndy.

The light lager will debut during UIndy Homecoming Week with a launch party on Thursday, Oct. 8 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at King Jugg Brewing, located at 11110 Lantern Road in Fishers. Guests are invited to connect with UIndy coaches, enjoy light appetizers and be among the first to try the new beer. Four-packs of The Loyal Hound will also be available for purchase to take home.

Developed in partnership with UIndy Athletics, The Loyal Hound was created as a drink for the entire Greyhound community to enjoy while cheering on their teams. The name draws inspiration from the University’s alma mater – “Loyal to Crimson and the Grey we’ll be” – while incorporating the Greyhound identity that connects generations of UIndy students, alumni and fans.

The design on the can features Grady the Greyhound alongside the Indianapolis skyline, a nod to UIndy’s place as the city’s namesake university and its deep connection to the community. 

Following the launch, The Loyal Hound will be sold at all UIndy Athletics events. The light lager was selected to appeal to a wide range of Greyhound supporters as they gather to support UIndy teams throughout the year.

The Loyal Hound is available for purchase to guests ages 21 and older.
