Join the Department of Art & Design for this semester’s Art & Design Lecture Series! Each series is dedicated to the life and work of a different artist. To celebrate the 100th anniversary of Art & Design, this year’s line-up includes all UIndy alumni!
Glenn grew up in Middlebury- a small farming community in northern Indiana. It was his high school teacher (Judy Wenig-Horswell) that introduced him to clay and eventually to the idea entering a scholarship competition for Indiana Central University in 1980.
Glenn graduated from Indiana Central University in 1980 and had every intention of becoming a studio potter but after moving to South Bend, Indiana he was offered an entry level position as a graphic artist at a local newspaper, eventually becoming art director there.
In 1994, Glenn accepted a position in television advertising sales, which lead to a career in television as a research analyst. It would not be until 2001 that he would finally go back to becoming a full-time potter and moved to Palm Harbor, Florida to make this happen.
