Join the Department of Art & Design for this semester’s Art & Design Lecture Series! Each series is dedicated to the life and work of a different artist.

Michelle Itczak, MA, LMHC, ATR-BC, ATCS is an Associate Professor and the Program Director for the Counseling and Art Therapy programs at the University of Indianapolis. Michelle was a founding member and the first president of the Indiana Art Therapy Association. She is currently the Chair of the Accreditation Council for Art Therapy Education that oversees accreditation of all Art Therapy Master’s programs in the United States. Michelle was the founding art therapist of the art therapy program at Riley Hospital for Children in 2010. She maintains her connection to Riley through contractual work with Riley Grief Services where she provides no-cost art therapy services to those who have lost a child. She edited the book Pediatric Medical Art Therapy (2021) and was a contributing author to Foundations of Art Therapy: Theory and Applications (2022).
