The Kevin R. Armstrong Ethical Leadership Award is given annually to an Indiana resident who demonstrates a long-term commitment to strengthening the larger community through ethical leadership.

About the 2024 Recipient, Tamika Catchings: Tamika Catchings is the inaugural Kevin R. Armstrong Ethical Leadership Award Recipient. Not only is Catchings a world-famous and highly decorated basketball player who led her teams to many victories, including the Indiana Fever for the 2012 WNBA final, Catchings is a strong leader in our local Indianapolis community. On and off the court, Catchings demonstrates what it means to be an ethical leader by embodying her values of perseverance, hard work, and accessibility. Catchings is the co-founder of Catch the Stars Foundation. Catch the Stars Foundation provides youth with fitness, literacy, and mentoring programs that encourage them to set goals, dream bigger, and achieve more. Through Catchings’ story, our community can discover ways to transform success in one arena of life into a movement that changes the lives of others for the better.

The Kevin R. Armstrong Ethical Leadership Award is presented by UIndy’s Center for Ethics, housed in the Department of Philosophy and Religion. For any questions, please contact Dr. Lacey Davidson at davidsonlj@uindy.edu.
